Celerie Kemble fabrics for F Schumacher embrace a modern look with deep traditional roots. The vibrant colors and outstanding fabric content make these fabrics well worth the money. Whether the fabrics are used for pillows or upholstery, it is guaranteed to add a splash of color and luxury to any home.
Celerie Kemble is a woman who has lived, breathed, and eaten interior design since she was a little girl. Her childhood was spend around construction sites, antique stores, and homes designed by her mother, Mimi Maddock McMakin. Kemble’s mother founded Kemble Interiors, Inc. in 1982 which focuses on bringing comfort and beauty into the homes of her clients.

Celerie worked briefly in film production after graduating Harvard before she gave into her compulsion for design and the creation of thoughtful interiors. “I help put the person in the space. Otherwise, it’s just a space.” She has spent the past 15 years developing a portfolio that encompasses that compulsion and passion. Kemble is known for her candid nature, humor, and approachability, which is paramount in developing relationships with clients and applying their needs and wants in a design.
Kemble has been featured in J. Crew’s ‘Real Women’ ads and alongside industry leaders in Benjamin Moore’s ‘Experts’ campaign. She embraces what it means to be creative and inspiring.
We are lucky enough to carry the entire collection of Celerie Kemble Fabric! These designs are adorable for upholstery. Headboards, chairs, ottomans; you name it, its going to be super cute if its covered with this fabric. We will also be featuring her wallpaper very soon, so stay tuned!
"In life as in design, it is not perfection you should be after. There's beauty in the faded and worn, the well loved, and the sentimental...After all, life has seams. Your home should be like a loosely woven fabric of desires, memories, practical, notions, and even compromises." - Celerie Kemble
